Neymar will take surgery in Doha while Messi and co will fight Bayern
Brazil's international footballer and PSG's forward, Neymar has been ruled out for the rest of this season. On Monday, Ligue 1 reported that the star footballer is set to undergo ankle ligament repair surgery.
The accident happened on February 19th, during PSG's Ligue 1 match against Lille . When Neymar, suffered an ankle injury during the game.
Now, PSG has also confirmed that the FCB star footballer has been set out for three to four months as he have to undergo ankle surgery in Doha.
Neymar's injury has officially ended his UEFA Champions League journey for this season. Up until now he had shot 13 goals and gave 11 assists for his team in Ligue1. And now, he is all set to take his surgery in Doha, Qatar confirms his team.
The PSG declaration states that, "Neymar junior have several recurrence of instability in his right ankle in recent years, following the last sprain he contracted on February 20th. The medical staff highly recommended him a ligament repair operation to avoid a major risk of these repetitions."
Christophe Galtier, PSG coach rued that his absance would be a big loss for the team. According to him, " Neymar is one of the top scorers and assist provider in Ligue 1, so his not playing is a big loss." Further he said that, "Without him, we may have two midfielders and three attackers or three midfielders and two attackers. There are players who can get in behind from all sorts of different positions."
Now, Neymar less Messi and co. is all set to face Bayern Munich on Thursday at Allianz Arena in the 2nd leg of the UCL.
