Messi has become the third footballer to score 100 goals in international football after the match played against Curacao. He has scored a total of 102 goals in 174 matches so far and has also given 54 goal assists during this period.

At number two is former Iranian footballer and current football manager Ali Daei. Ali scored a total of 109 goals in 149 matches between 1993 and 2006. Ronaldo broke his record in year 2021 and became the world's first footballer to score 100 international goals.
But Messi is not behind anyone in any sense, rather he is the first player who has won the World Cup as well as completed the target of 100 goals. Even though Ronaldo and Ali Daei have completed 100 goals, neither of them has won the World Cup, Messi is the first player to do so.
Talking about Messi's game during the match, he gave a tremendous performance. In the first 37 minutes of the match, he completed his hat-trick. He scored three consecutive goals one after the other in the 20th, 33rd and 37th minutes. With this he gave the 57th hat trick of his career. And while playing for Argentina, this was his 9th hat-trick.
Not only this, Messi also assisted one goal during the match. He gave a goal assist in the 35th minute for Enzo Fernandez. With this, Messi has assisted Argentina for the 54th time and a total of 354 times at the senior level.
If we now talk about this match played on Wednesday, apart from Messi, four other players also scored goals. In this, Nicolas Gonzalez scored the second goal for the team in the 23rd minute. After this Enzo Fernandez scored in the 35th minute, Angel Di Maria scored in the 78th minute and Gonzalo Montiel scored in the 87th minute.
